THE 13TH ALLEY: PRODUCTION HISTORY
The 13th Alley was inspired by Jimmy Pedrick, a former Professional Bowling Association member, who would occasionally have a bad game and envision the bowling alley as an arena for mayhem! He also knew there are 100,000,000 bowlers worldwide!! One trip to Santa Barbara’s well known ZoDo’s Bowling & Beyond was all it took.
First we had to secure Zodo’s, a fabulously decorated, stateof- the-art facility, since the story would be driven by the “character” of the building. After meeting with owner/manager Steve Davis, he was 100% behind the project. In addition, the professional staff at ZoDo’s could not have been more accommodating.
Once the screenplay was completed, we met with Silver Shamrock Lab to create the extraordinary special effects and the medieval look for our antagonist, The Masked Intruder.
The entire movie was shot on location in Santa Barbara, CA. Besides ZoDo’s, we shot scenes at Goleta State Beach, Cold Springs Canyon, the Montecito Country Club, S. B. City College and S. B. College of Law.
